Elie Saab Fall 2013-14 at Paris Fashion Week

PARIS – It’s been said that Elie Saab has a beaded, embellished formula, but at the start of his Fall/Winter 2013-2014 collection at Paris Fashion Week, you didn’t see it as his daywear took center stage in hues of navys and blacks. There were peplums, and fitted jackets, and perhaps you could compare his tailoring to that of another body hugging top designer — Alber Elbaz for Lanvin. But soon, the dresses picked up the tried and true Elie Saab formula with lace, tulle, and transparent pieces that is quintessential Saab, but in bold colors like yellow and champagne, with a refreshing new look at today’s trends. This designer is still at the top of his game.
