Sass & Bide Spring 2013 Runway Show at London

LONDON – Oragami shapes and florals are most likely two trends you may not have excpected from designers Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton. The duo designers showcased their Sass & Bide Spring/Summer 2013 collection during London Fashion Week, where a mix of soft fabrics and feminine florals were combined with the label’s signature heavy embellishments. The collection was very on point and structured with sharp black and white solids, masculine/feminine tuxedos, heavy use of silver paillettes, military style embroidery and some sexy knee-high slits. Sparkling silver details, feather fringes and shell embroideries all created a foundation based primarily on mixing feminine with edgy. The Australian label worked intensely to perfect the traditional modernist and these ladies certainly achieved that.
