Ralph Lauren Summer 2013 Runway Show at New York
NEW YORK – The Ralph Lauren girl is, no doubt, a world traveler. For Spring/Summer 2013, Ralph Lauren sent his models to Spain and Latin America during New York Fashion Week. Lauren delivered a runway filled with oversized ruffles, beads, lace, large embroideries and fringes. The designer who claimed that he was inspired by faraway exotic destinations, brought his visions onto the catwalk this year. Lauren played around with cultural colors such as bold red, crisp black and white, turquoise and teal. The look of the collection was very Luxe folk mixed with Latin American heritage, which explains the toreador costumes, suede jackets, romantic poet blouses and tilted hats. Button down blouses, vibrant belted palazzo pants and shawls were some more trends of the collection. The finale was the most breathtaking as models graced in silk and chiffon down-to-the-floor gowns, overpowered with dangling ruffles and draped beaded accents. Looks like Ralph Lauren had all the right proportions for this season.
