Salvatore Ferragamo Winter 2012 Fashion Show at Milan

MILAN – FashionTV goes behind the scenes with Italian fashion designer, Massimiliano Giornetti at the Salvatore Ferragamo Fall/Winter 2012-13 fashion show during Milan Fashion Week. The collection was a brilliant collaboration of military style and romance. FashionTV gets up close and personal with the talented designer as he explains what will be seen on the runway and the ideas behind the creation. “For this collection, we went into a Russian inspiration, the woman is very chic, very elegant, very sharp such as the uniforms, jackets, skirts, after it is more romantic and fragile”, he says. “What really inspires me is working, working on lots of materials, prints, on velvet, the idea of evening wear and lace playing with chiffon”, Giornetti says as he explains his passion. The runway was filled with officer jackets, combined with black leather and sheared astrakhan which displayed a more masculine side of the story. “The show is going into the more fragile, romantic, the princess part of the collection, showing the sensual but very strict and proud woman”, which is all about Ferragamo’s femme side of the story.
