Jean Paul Gaultier Couture Fall 2012 ft Erin O’Connor at Paris

PARIS – Jean Paul Gaultier loves to play with the idea of masculine/feminine and he did so in his Paris Couture Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2012-2013 collection which was opened by model Erin O’Connor. Jean Paul Gaultier based his collection off of a movie he saw in Cannes, while he was a member of the jury at the 65th annual Cannes Film Festival. “He found the dynamic between the rebel and someone who’s very vulnerable,” says O’Connor. His show presented masculinity on a woman and femininity on a male with male model Andrej Pejic wearing a dress and another male model wears a jacket with a curve at the hips. He also included corsets over the outfit for men and 3-D corsets for women.
