Angelo Marani Winter 2012 Fashion Show at Milan

MILAN – FashionTV gets up close and personal with designer Angelo Marani at his Fall/Winter 2012-13 fashion show during Milan Fashion Week. Marani talks about his ideas behind the collection. “I drew inspiration from the big chill, freezing weather. I created some prints with frozen roses, then, along the way, I saw an exhibition by Robert Mapplethorpe here in Milan and so I created a series of black and white roses, drawing inspiration from his flowers,” he explains. The flawless models walked the runway in very sophisticated, 70s chic prints, Fall fabrics, geometric patterns and wool sweaters. “Patchwork was another idea from which we drew inspiration,” Marani says about the amount of material and fabrics that was combined into the designs.
