Christian Dada’s Forest-Inspired Collection for Fall 2012

TOKYO – The brand Christian Dada is well-known in Tokyo for his unique designs but also for his performance art-style runway shows which feature multimedia, music and videos as part of the presentation. At Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tokyo Fall/Winter 2012-2013, Christian Dada designer Masanori Morikawa lived up to the hype with his forest-inspired collection that looked more dark than nature-infused. Models wore lots of black and were highlighted by an emerald light that shone down on them. Morikawa showcased a special print but other pieces were in fabrics like leather, wool, and tulle. We know Lady Gaga has asked the designer to create her stage costumes, but the collection was toned down here.
