Emporio Armani Fall 2012 Fashion Show
MILAN – If it’s Giorgio Armani, you know it’s going to be good. That’s what FashionTV was anticipating at the Emporio Armani show during Milan Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2012-2013. He called this season’s collection Little Winter Follies, perhaps going for a period motif–after all there was a good amount of velvet and those shorts that hit at the knee–shall we call them bermudas? Armani did. There was also a lot of color whether it was in the plaids or the Mongolian lamb. While the collection had a distinct winter feel in the beginning as the models walked two by two, by the end of the show, enough colors had been brought to the forefront that we wondered if Armani was diving back into 60s and 70s archives, albeit with a French and modern twist. The models themselves looked like stewardesses on an airplane with a futuristic sheen to their sequins and cocktail dresses.
