Kenzo Fall 2012: Models On An Escalator at Paris Fashion Week

PARIS РKenzo is back and better than ever. Humberto Leon and Carol Lim truly outdid themselves this season with an unforgettable spectacle. The Kenzo F/W 12/13 show was held in a venue that had never been touched before, the largest scientific and medical complex in Paris at the Universit̩ Pierre et Marie Curie. The show began with super-model Karlie Kloss emerging from an escalator and onto the makeshift runway. The walls of the three-story building were reminiscent of a modern art exhibition, with neon colored light-fixtures all around. After Kloss emerged in a moss-green look topped with a fur collar and a tiger-logo sweater, 50 more outstanding looks followed suit. There was a forties vibe amidst the space-age d̩cor, with waist-cinching silhouettes, pleated skirts, peplum details, and button up cardigans. However, it was the deep forest-inspired hues, and vine-like and grape prints that truly stole our hearts.
