Tadashi Shoji Fall 2012 Fashion Week

NEW YORK – While designer Tadashi Shoji says his Fall/Winter 2012/2013 collection was a somber one, we didn’t see it amidst all the bright colors, brocade, and unique prints. Again, the Oriental theme (Zac Posen, Jason Wu) came into play here as Shoji says his inspiration was the Golden Age of Shanghai. His lace, high necks (another trend!), embroidery, sequins, and digital prints were unmatched. Fabrics included beautiful chiffon, Chantilly lace, velvet and more. We’re definitely thinking some of his dresses will be on the red carpet this awards season, signifying the best in what Shoji has to offer.
