BCBG Max Azria Fall 2012 Show

NEW YORK – Fur is back–if designer Max Azria has anything to say about it! While we thought the BCBG Max Azria label was all about color blocking, geometric prints, and big bold hues, the designer threw us for a loop by all the fur collars, fur boas, fur wraps, and fur sleeves that added an entirely new element and silhouette to a bold collection using Fall colors like navy blue, camel brown, and red instead of its typical neon yellow, green, and pink (although yes, there was some bright orange in this collection). While the collection was said to be inspired by the geometric elements of Bauhaus, there was a typical BCBG element to all the designs (something we’ve seen again and again from Azria, but seems to work for him and everyone else.) The silhouettes also took on a casual 70s era style mixed with leather, dresses, and a smattering of long trousers and trench coats.
